The Continuity Of Life

(from my place

here behind the

library window)

                       wrought

iron bars                     tangled

on

      the snow

                   sun-white

between

                              long           shadows

trees                 lifeless

          branches

piercing                             into

          empty

                          sky

frozen     frozen

silence

                              suddenly!

 movement          flashing

                          glimmering

                          shining                     black

from

     hurried     step ping    of

high-heeled

                                        shoes

of her high-

                          heeled shoes

her

shoes.
